Transfer Credit

Transfer Credit Process

Incoming first-year students who took college-level coursework while still in high school may be eligible to receive college credit for those courses. Students who completed courses through dual enrollment programs must complete the First-Year Approval of Transfer Credit form to begin the process. Courses must have been taught by a faculty member of the credit awarding institution and must be eligible for use toward a degree at the institution in order to be eligible for credit evaluation at Lehigh.

After completing the form and submitting to the college or university where you were enrolled in course(s), you should also request that an official transcript from the previous institution be sent to Lehigh. If your coursework is eligible for evaluation for possible transfer credit, you will be asked to provide course descriptions or syllabi for referral to the appropriate Lehigh academic department for review. Only courses with grades of C or higher are eligible for transfer evaluation. Official transcripts should be sent to:

Registration & Academic Services
Lehigh University
27 Memorial Drive West

Electronic transcripts are also accepted if sent directly from the college or university. Those should be sent to ras@lehigh.edu.
