Registration Basics and Sample Schedules

For Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics (BSBU) students, we recommend an average of 5-6 courses in the range of 14-17 credits. 17 credits is the maximum credit load for the first Fall semester.

Non-Business Elective credits can come from any College outside of the College of Business, as long as they are not restricted for first-year and/or BSBU students, and do not require any prerequisites (check the course details for this information!).  The list of possible electives is very long and seat availability varies, but here are just a few examples of MANY:

  • College of Arts and Sciences: Art (ART), Earth and Environmental Science (EES), Global Studies (GS),  History (HIST), International Relations (IR), Music (MUS), Religion (REL) and Languages (French, Spanish, German, Chinese, etc.)
  • Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science: Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
  • College of Health: Population Health (POPH)
